Appointments and booked arrivals

Take bookings, check people in and place them fairly among walk-ins.

Taking bookings

Set a service to Appointments only or Both (see Services and queues). People book from the location’s page, staff book from Appointments, and a connected records system can send its own bookings.

When someone arrives, press Check in on their appointment, or let them check in from the link in their reminder.

Where booked people join the line

In Settings → Booked arrivals, a person who checks in on time takes their place by their booked time, not behind everyone who walked in while they were travelling.

  • On time is from 10 minutes before to 15 minutes after the booked time, by default. Late or very early arrivals join like a walk-in.
  • Nobody already called is passed, and priority still comes first.
  • Walk-ins keep moving: by default at most one booked person goes ahead of a waiting walk-in before that walk-in is next. You can change the share or turn it off.

The desk shows a Booked 10:30 chip next to anyone placed this way.
